London to become Europe’s WiFi king

thecloud logoAfter twelve months of development and testing, the city of London has now what is said to be the most comprehensive city-wide WiFi mobility network.

Publicly voiced as ‘Europe’s biggest wireless internet hotspot’, the newtork comprises 127 nodes and spreads across the Square Mile zone, an area with more than 350,000 people between regular workers and visitors. During the first month, and in association with Nokia, anyone with a WiFi enabled device - PDAs, notebooks, media players or smart phones- can access free bradband internet connections.

The people of The Cloud are behind the initiative.Some of the supported service providers include big names from the world of technology and communications, like O2, BT Openzone and Skype.
