A ‘consumer advocate’ for voters

FactCheck aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics. They do this by monitoring the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews, and news releases.

The Annenberg Political Fact Check is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania.

The initiative was the top vote-getter among nominees for the annual world-wide survey recognizing “The Top 10 Who are Changing the World of Internet and Politics” award for 2006. It was also named as one of the 25 Sites We Can’t Live Without by Time Magazine.
